By installing or using Hovpn (the "Software" — the browser extension and its companion helper), you agree to these Terms.

1. What Hovpn is

Hovpn is proxy-switching software that routes your browser's traffic through a proxy server that you configure. Hovpn does not provide, sell, or operate proxy or VPN servers. You are responsible for the servers, configuration links, and subscriptions you use with it.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use Hovpn only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for your use of the Software and for the traffic you route through it. You must not use Hovpn to harm others, to gain unauthorized access to systems, or for any illegal activity.

3. Ownership & license

The Software, including its source code, design, interface, name, and branding, is the exclusive property of the copyright holder. It is proprietary. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the Software as distributed. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, rebrand, relabel, reverse-engineer for reuse, or create derivative works without prior written permission. "Hovpn" and its logo are protected marks.

4. Third-party components

The helper bundles third-party software, including Xray-core (Mozilla Public License 2.0) and the Node.js runtime, each under its own license. Those licenses continue to apply to those components.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any server you connect to will be available or private.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the copyright holder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Software.

7. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
